Madeline Watson, violinist, currently resides in College Park, Maryland and is widely available throughout Montgomery County and the NOVA/DC area for performances – solo, chamber, and orchestral – and as a private violin and piano instructor. She can also put together a number of different ensembles to provide live music for any event.
Madeline is a graduate from the University of MD, College Park with a bachelors of music degree in violin performance. While at the university, she studied under violinists David Salness (head of chamber music studies at UMD), Elizabeth Adkins (former associate concertmaster of the National Symphony), and Oleg Rylatko (concertmaster of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra).
Since graduating, Madeline has built up a private studio, where she teaches 18 students of all ages. She loves teaching both kids and adults and will work patiently to make sure that her students are learning and enjoying their instrument at the same time. She also teaches at Harmonic Music Studio in NW DC and freelances often in the NOVA/DC area. Madeline currently plays in the 1st violin section with both the Maryland Symphony Orchestra and the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra.
